Risk & transparency

Simple profiles. Measurable constraints.

Jethos aims to simplify risk without hiding it. Conservative, Balanced and Advanced are interfaces over quantitative rules—not labels of safety.

Conservative

Preservation and liquidity

Supply-first strategies, mature integrations, higher reserves and tighter concentration.

Balanced

Controlled complexity

Selected composed strategies and moderate concentration under defined limits.

Advanced

Higher complexity

Potential leverage or hedging only after strategy-specific validation and hard limits.

What risk analysis must cover

Smart contracts

Audits, maturity, incidents, upgrades and bug bounties.

Markets

TVL, utilization, available liquidity and concentration.

Assets & oracles

Depeg, wrappers, issuers, staleness and manipulation.

Operations

Keepers, keys, monitoring, replay and emergency procedures.

Net, not nominal

Headline APY is only one input.

Allocation decisions should consider expected return after fees, gas, slippage and liquidity, then apply protocol, market and strategy caps.

Risk cannot be eliminated. Smart contracts, protocols, assets, oracles, wrapped representations, sequencers and operational systems can fail. Liquidity can disappear and an expected hedge can break.

Data provenance

Live data

Read from chain, with timestamp and readable failure state.

Deployment record

Recorded locally and linked to the explorer, but not assumed current.

Illustrative

Used to explain product concepts, never presented as an account value.

What this means in practice

Risk changes the route.

Liquidity falls

A conservative policy should stop increasing exposure, preserve reserve and show that withdrawal may require unwinding.

An oracle becomes stale

Price-dependent actions should stop or enter quarantine rather than assume the last value is safe.

A protocol deteriorates

New allocation should be disabled while withdrawal and repay paths remain available where technically possible.
